It's Been Fun
|
The officers and I decided that we will no longer be scheduling guild raid runs. We just don't seem to have the interest that we once did. People either show up 30 minutes late or not at all. We are basically sick of getting prepared, posting strat, creating mats, all to have people just not show up.
I was the one who instigated this change, as the game just isn't fun anymore when we have to wait and hope for people who said they'd be on log on. If people aren't motivated to run new content, then they aren't going to be motivated to run anything. It's been great getting to know a lot of you, and I consider some of you friends.
Feel free to stay in the guild, as we aren't going to break it up, but we're just going to be a social/alt guild, and some of us will raid with other guilds.

Ulduar Scheduling
|
I know we've been a little disorganized in our raiding schedule, but invites will be going out this week through the in-game calendar. Our schedule is going to be Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights 7:30-11. 11 is the latest we'll be raiding until. Please check your calendar and only accept if you are SURE you can attend. If you cannot, just decline.
I'd rather have you decline then not respond at all. We'll find somebody else in that case. And just as a few have already done, an in game whisper is AWESOME if you know you can't make it in advance. That's all we ask. If you say "I may not be able to make it." We'll probably try to find somebody else, but if you login and we don't have anybody yet, feel free to join the raid.
Please check out the WMO link above for our latest attempt, the log has some great information on DPS, healing etc. |

Leviathan Down!
|
Hey hey. Sorry guys, been slacking lately, been pretty crazy with work and RL. Anyways, last Thursday we got down Flame Leviathan after a few wipes, great jobs. That opening part to Uld is a blast.
Congrats to Atemisk on getting Combustion Bracers, and to Flare! Although I forget at the moment what he actually got.
We are gonna start fresh again on Tuesday, lets get down that silly robot. That laugh isn't so funny when we wipe. :) Screenie below.

BT Raiding 3.1 version 2.0!
|
UPDATE: See THIS link or go to the top left of this page for Ulduar strat, just click on one of the bosses to see the strat.
Ok, come 3.1 we are going to be changing around how we've been raiding. In the past, we would try to take the best raiders we had, along with some "newbies' or maybe undergeared or new players to that particular raid.
We were also very lax on people being late, not coming with consumables constantly going afk, not logging when they accepted the invite. I'll take the blame for a lot of that. I think a lot of our raiders knew there wouldn't be any consequences, so weren't good about being on time, buffed up etc.
We are taking a different approach to 3.1 raiding. In many ways, it's going to be more like a hardcore raiding guild. First off, we are going to have a rank called "Raider" that is for our core group. Right now the only benefit will be you'll have access to the Raid tab in the guild bank, where Members will not. We may change that to include other perks. We are going to try have 12-13 core raiders. If you are one of those core raiders, please see the list of guidelines below. We will decide who raids by your dps/healing/tanking performance, attendance and knowledge of the fights. There may be many nights that you do not get in, do not constantly whisper to officers asking if you have a spot that night. The biggest thing you can do is BE ONLINE ONTIME.
Our Requirements:
1. You have to be online 10 minutes prior to raid time. If you cannot make the raid that night, we expect either an in game mail, in game tell or even an email to me at dirsan@comcast.net. Real life definitely comes before WoW, but 9 other people are relying on you and it's very rude to just not show up. If you aren't on by raid time, we'll replace you with an alternate Raider and you'll be penalized one spot on the SK roll list, as well as possibly not running the week after. THIS IS BY FAR THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WE HAVE HAD, ATTENDANCE.
2. We are going to be progressing. Flasks and food buffs are required as well as having enough mana, health pots etc. You will have access to the Raid tab, but if there aren't enough, you are responsible to get your own. Don't say you have no money, not a valid excuse. You will be asked to hearth out and grab consumables if you don't have them.
3. Be prepared to wipe a lot, especially at the beginning. If you don't like paying repair costs or wiping a lot to learn a fight, you probably aren't going to want to raid with us. The raid will be over when the Raid Leader decides. We will usually only raid til about 11 pm.
4. Read up on the fights. We don't expect you to know everybody's role, but we DO expect you to know your own.
5. You are required to have a PvE raiding spec, at least one of your specs. We would prefer it if hybrids made their other spec PvE raiding too, but that is up to you. You are also required to have all your gear gemmed and enchanted. There is no reason not to have your epics enchanted. Again, we'll look for another raider if you do not have them enchanted and gemmed.
6. Non-Raiders who would like to move up to Raiders, keep your BT raid nights open and your raid ID for what we're progressing on free. It's not required if you're not a Raider, but when we can fill in spots from in-guild to progress, we will do so, and it will help us decide on promotions. You are going to have to prove yourself to earn a raid spot now.
Uludar is going to be harder than Naxx, so get in as many PUGS as you can until 3.1 comes out, we are going to need everybody as geared as possible. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask Hotcha or I, as well as any of our officers. I'm really excited for 3.1, and to be honest, a little bored with Naxx right now, as I'm sure many are!
