Beyond Thundergnome has stopped raiding as a guild.

Since the release of ICC we have been working to rebuild a raid team, and it was shaping up well.

Having lost a few people who left WoW. As well as others who went to other guilds that were aiming to focus on 25 man content and/or less casual raiding. As a result the raid core of the guild is no more.

As to what the future of Thundergnome is, I am not sure. For the time being Beyond Thundergnome will still be around as a social guild for those still in it. In the long run, I do not know what will happen.

Thank you to all those who raided with us (guildies and friends from out of guild).

Festergut Down!

We got Festergut down last night in 10 man. After wiping a few times using 2 healers, we added a 3rd and got him down with ease. Great job. Here is a screenshot of his carcass.

Great job guys, we've gotten the first 4 bosses down 2 weeks in a row now. Decimated has done great raid leading, and it's gone really smooth. I've uploaded a combat log from last night. I switched to World of Logs, it has more detail than WMO. Check it out here.

Now that patch 3.3 is live, BT will be raiding consistently on Tuesday and Thursdays. Get those last few pieces of gear and get ready for Icecrown Citadel.

If you have interest in raiding, add your name and desired spec to the forum post. We will be using wow-heroes to make sure everyone is geared appropriately so log out in your raiding spec.

Any questions? Contact Decimated, Falron, or Hotcha. Or post on the forums.

Taking a Break

Hey hey. Well, I think it's time for a break from WoW. I've been thinking about doing it for awhile, but always put it off. It's been getting close to 2 years since I started playing WoW and I'm a little burnt out. I'll be on occasionally, but nowhere near what I have been. Who knows, maybe I'll start playing again when the patch comes out! Hot or any of the officers can help you out as always.

Onx-10 and ToC-10

Hey guys. We've been running Onxyia-10 for the last couple of weeks and have downed her without many issues, nice job! We really want to expand to ToC-10 soon, maybe even next week. Read up on the fights. It's very frustrating going in there and having people have no idea about any of the bosses. Check out the top left of this page, under links. It has been updated with a link to ToC 10 strategy.

Our goal is to get a few more raiders so we can have 12-15 people available every week, just in case there are a few who can't make it. Continue to check your calendar for invites, and please try to at least respond to them!

I was going to do another audit of our 80's, but it's really easy to get gear these days, so unless you are woefully geared, I'm not going to post gearscores for who is or isn't ready, you should already know that. :)

On another note, we've promoted Decimated to officer, congrats!! He is going to be tanking a bunch for us and is a really good fit.

BT Raiding! Tuesday and Thursday

Ok, we are thinking of some exact dates for raiding guys. We're thinking Tuesdays and Thursdays, probably 8-11. We want to start with Onyxia 10 and ToC 10. I'm going to be sending out invites to lvl 80's just to see what the interest is. Accept the invite if you can do even one of those nights. This isn't an actual invite, it's just to gauge who wants to start raiding! Check you calendars within the next few days!

Patch 3.2.2 out today!

Sweet. For those of you going to Ulduar tonight, we are going to attempt Onyxia first! Falron has downed him many times on vanilla WoW and has some quick advice:

1) if you are not the MT, you should not be in front of her, ever.
2) Dont stand by the whelp caves
3) Dont stand by the whelp caves
4) Dont stand by the whelp caves
5) in p2 when she is in the air, spread out and kill the whelps
6) in p2 when she starts casting a deep breath, get off the floor, run up on the ledge of the wall a bit.
7) when she lands in p3 she will fear, so dont be near a whelp cave
8)in p3 she will fear, dont be near the whelp caves.

Ulduar Run Tonight

Hey guys, great job tonight in Ulduar 10!!! We had Nobolisk, Taliko, Tormentum, Hotcha, Rikikulous, Decimatd and I from the guild and got down a bunch of bosses. Awesome job tanking Decimated!! I'm hoping we can start running this every week and get some more people in too!
I got a WMO log too.

On another note, we did have one problem. Casaundra, a mage who we PUGGED, refused to equip Handwraps of Resonance, even after we said beforehand that they had to be equipped. He/she straight up lied to me, then told Hotcha a different story. Hotcha also has the screenshots to prove it. Anyways, I'd avoid running with her/him in the future.

Again, great job tonight, let's keep it going!

Ridikulus/Yaz is now an officer! He's been with us a long time, and as we resume raiding again, we'll definitely need some help organizing raids, buffs, times etc. Have a shot of K1 on me tonight.
